RCC Cafe & Resto: A Pastel, Chic Place Cafe for Everyone

Who’s up for another milkshake or frappe? 🙂

In today’s world where coffee shops and cafĂ©s are super trendy, we are always on the lookout for a new and good place to hang out with family, friends and loved ones. Personally, I’ve been hopping from cafe’s to another in search for a pinterest-y and as I always say, instagrammable ambience that’s very refreshing to one’s eyes. Once I see the place would be picture-perfect, then that’s the time I will check that spot and hang out with myself, most of the times. Honestly, my first impression goes to the coziness and good vibe of the place and how nice it would look on pictures; and when I’m there to see it myself, that’s the only time that I come to verdict with the foods they serve. What I say, is that, for most of us, we judge according to what we see first, so generally, it would always be “Place First, Food Second”. 🙂

Luckily, and by grace, I’ve come to scroll on Facebook this newest cafe opened in Nasipit, Talamban, Cebu City – the place where I come to study. If you are living or familiar in Talamban, you’ll know how cafes are rampant in the area. Near USC or University of San Carlos alone, with just few walks, I’ve been to five different cafes already. I am happy now to include this newly opened and newly cafe I discovered, the 6th cafe on my list, and I can’t wait to share to you all. Fellow Laagans at heart, I introduce to you, Talamban’s newest craze –  RCC Cafe and Resto!

Welcome to a pastel world cafe and resto!

Formerly located in Banilad, this cafe is back to business with a larger space this time! RCC Cafe and Resto had just their soft opening last September 14 and is set for their grand opening this October 14, 2019! Although the place is still on its soft opening, a lot of people have been coming already, regardless of age or status. I’m even surprised but happy to see groups of friends and families, even with babies, coming to this place. That only means that RCC cater and are opened to different mass of people because as I always see, the cafes I went to are mostly filled with either students or young professionals.

I spot a mom feeding their baby over an ice blended drink.
Friends of all ages – come one, come all! Welcome to RCC!

If you come to this place, the first thing you’ll notice and for sure you’ll love is the cool, chic environment that is pastel-colored cubes or spaces, each space with its distinct huge pastel palette, very delightful to everyone’s eyes! You can’t miss to have your selfies all over the place!

AS you enter, you will see this very colorful walls of cubes or spaces!

The area on the second floor is perfect for students who would just want to chill or study as the place have enough space where you can work with school stuffs. Plus, the cafe offers its unlimited use of wifi when you order a minimum amount of 100php. When we were there, a group of teeners where actually doing their school project.

The area to the 2nd floor is even made lovelier with those balls of lights hang from the ceiling!

Aside from this cozy atmosphere, they also offer different varieties of food from meals to snacks, to cakes and pastries, to ice-blended drinks, coffees, frappes and milkshakes which are their specialty, by the way. Their flagship among the meals on the menu are the crispy sisig and chicken teriyaki. Definitely you can come to RCC Cafe anytime of the day!

I never missed a chance of ordering a frappe whenever I’m in a cafe 🙂

THE MENU

Choose your favorite drink and favorite flavor! They have it here!
Meals are also available in an affordable price.
My husband’s personal favorite, their pork sisig.
Seafood is life! My favorite – grilled squid.
Ice cream on cones are available, too! I will definitely try this once I get back to the place.

WORKPLACE CAFÉ: A Favorite Place for Work and Study, A Guaranteed 100% Productivity

How many of you love the atmosphere of working in a café? Perhaps for some, they love the smell of a brewing coffee; others may after the air-conditioned place that makes them stay cool and comfortable; some would love the cozy background perfect for their social media posts; or for most, they seek for the strong internet connection they need for their research and other stuffs.

For a person like me who originally came from South of the Philippines, Zamboanga and Basilan, studying or working in a café is a new thing to do. When I first came to Cebu to pursue my higher education, I didn’t know this thing is a trend! When I was studying in college, I remember working for my school-related stuffs and studying for my exams either in the boarding house only or in the school library. We only had internet shops then where most students indulge in playing online games or doing some research for a school project.

When I came to Cebu to study, I had a hard time doing my school works, reading hundreds of pages of articles, writing my papers and meeting my deadlines because I had one nursery and two pre-schoolers who would always interrupt me when I am about to work. Then, I was able to enter this very cute café (that was my first) and I had a pleasant stay there studying and working on my school notes.

I realized that there are actually many cafĂ©s in town, and the choices are limitless! In my 11 months of stay in Cebu now (as of this writing), I had been hopping from cafĂ©s to another in search for a perfect place to work. I was never satisfied for the total service of each of these cafĂ©s. There are those with little space that gets crowded when too many gets in. Others also may have a nice, instagrammable ambiance but offers a poor internet, which is a sad thing for me. For most of the cafĂ©s, students who get in are merely chitchatting, others in high tone that distract others’ work.  For these reasons, my work is always interrupted and I cannot perform at my best and fullest potential.

What type of worker are you?
“The only way to do GREAT WORK is to do it with GOOD COFFEE”.

At last, I Found You!

Just 2 months ago, my husband’s classmate introduced us to this café in F. Ramos. Those were the days when our finals were coming, and the school year is almost to end. We had a lot of papers to do – strenuous writing that needs 100% concentration. The first time I went here, I posted it already in my Facebook account because I was so happy and satisfied. Since then, my husband and I have been coming here whenever we needed a place to work.

I posted this as one of my 365 photo challenge in my FB Personal Account

Even if it is far from our place, Bacayan, we don’t mind coming to this place because nothing compares the comfortability and super-fast internet connection that the place gives!

Friends and laagans, I introduce to you my favorite cafĂ© in town – WORKPLACE CAFÉ! Everything in my checklist, things that I look for in a cafĂ©, are all present here, with still a lot of things to offer that makes us a happy and contented customer.

What Makes Workplace Café Different From Others?

Workplace Café is the first co-working café in the Philippines and is such a best place to study and work while you are enjoying a coffee shop ambiance. I have enumerated below the things I love about this place – the reasons why I always love to come back whenever I have a serious work to do.

1. Super-Fast Internet Connection

This is my topmost favourite reason why I love coming back to Workplace. They actually offer a fiber wifi connection that is super fast and super strong. With Workplace, you will never be disconnected!

Two voucher codes for your two gadgets valid for 20 hours

2. Power Outlets

Whenever I go to a café, I always position myself to a table close to a power outlet. Here in Workplace, wherever you are seated, power outlets are present! You will never have a problem charging your mobile phones, laptops or any gadgets you’re bringing.

Outlets, everywhere! Meanwhile, MM in front of me studying for his comprehensive exam.

3. Comfortable Seats

I love the swivel chairs here. I always feel comfortable even if I stay and sit for long hours. I never feel any discomforts.

You are relaxed 100% with this type of chair
Restobar-like chairs for those who woul just want to chill

4. Cozy and Peaceful Ambiance with Cool Interior Design

The place and its interior design is very relaxing, and upon your first step in the café, you’ll say that the people here are very engrossed with whatever they’re working. It inspires you to work harder, too. You’ll hear no shouting or talking in a loud voice – peaceful, indeed!

5. Power Nap Station

When you feel sleepy and drained from long hours of working, you certainly  would want to pause, take a break and take a nap. Don’t worry there’s a place, too, where you can comfortably close your eyes and sleep. The last time we went here, I honestly had taken a long nap! Haha

6. Open 20 Hours Daily

We don’t need to worry on rushing things thinking that the café will soon close at a specific hour. In most cafés, they are only open until 12MN or 2AM at most, the next day. At workplace, they operate from 10AM to 6AM (the next day). Usually, MM and I come to Workplace even at 8PM or 9PM because we know we still have long hours to work.

7. Buying of Foods Not Compulsory

Most of the cafĂ©s will require you to buy and order food first before you can use the amenities. Here at workplace, you’re not required to buy, you can actually bring your own food if you don’t like to buy. You only have to pay here their hourly/daily/monthly rates and you’re good to go:

  • Hourly Rate: 60php on the first hour and 40php on the succeeding hours.
  • Daily Rate: 320php (best for those staying 8 hours or more)
  • Monthly Rate: 5000php per month inclusive of a locker

The rates you pay include a complimentary drink, either an iced tea or a brewed coffee. Paying the rates above will grant you access to the amenities offered by Workplace.

Your choice 🙂
SPOTTED! A regular monthly customer who just celebrated her first year as a happy and satisfied customer!

8. Delicious Meals and Snacks that Support Local Products

They may not require you to buy their food but in case you want to order, their menu offers palatable meals. Aside from this, their coffees are fresh from Bukidnon Farms and their signature chocolate drink are chocolate tableas from cacaos harvested from a local farm in Argao, Cebu.
